Console was binding when shifting in second. starting taking console out to find no factory brackets for it. home made junk.
i might take the console out as i like better without. although i fixed it up for know shift night and day. id like to get a hurst shifter to replace inland.
maybe pistol grip from 71-72 med height or just a non console hurst.

Same thing I did to mine...ditched the heavy console and plan on putting the shorty B/E body pistol grip in mine.

Yeah, I will need all that, but I haven't ordered the carpet yet. I converted my car to a 4-speed and have about half the stuff I need, but it's going to the bodyshop very soon I hope then the fun will begin for reassembly. Been a long time coming.

It's actually got the black insert in the top, came with the car when I got it 100 years ago.

I've tried multiple knobs and imo it's the best.
Slightly larger than the standard white one, vaguely flat on the top.

Bought the same one for my Dart.

I said knob.

I felt like painting the inserts on my fake scoops because they were pitting. It looks a little better.
still looking for a clean set doesn’t look too bad though.

My new Aircleaner came in. I couldn’t find an original one reasonable so I bought this off of eBay 14 inch.
I thought it matched the paint color well

My seat knobs came in.

Added New tail light lenses one day i will repaint the argent and maybe get new tail light chrome

Fuel pump starting leaking out of nowhere so I replaced it. Not a carter, but it has lifetime warranty from o’Reilly auto parts

You have a very nice looking car for sure! I am like you, got lucky on eBay and found an NOS one for my Dart for what I thought was very reasonable.
Keep it up as the devils in the details.

I can't tell from pics, did you paint the hood spears black or argent?

I was going to touch up mine as well, then I checked a friend's all original car out, they're Argent!

They even look black until you get up close.
Strange.

I passed on touching mine up, cause I'm cheap and my car isn't worth putting on shiny bits.

Looks good. Take a look at last Pic, balancer looks like its scrubbing on the water pump? Bottom of wp looks like there is/was a leak? Just an fyi.

just some peeling paint, been like that since a got it. Not rubbing just picture angle.
maybe i will touch it up, Far from a Fresh build. My guess is 2005-2010. didnt get too much History on this one.

I like the exhaust even more though.. wish i had done mine like this which was my plan at first
