Wow.... I don't think there's enough room on the internet for my favorites list... :angry7: But I'll try:

Panama & Hot for Teacher: Van Halen
La Grange: ZZ Top
Bottom, Enema, Schism, Jambi : Tool
Got the Life: Korn
Out to get you: Bloodsimple (Great band BTW)
Duality: Slipknot
Jerry was a Racecar Driver: Primus
Beast & the Harlot: Avenged Sevenfold (Phenomenal double bass drum work...)
You wouldn't know: Hellyeah
Walk & Cowboys from Hell: Pantera
One & Master of Puppets: Metallica
Beautiful People, Mobsence, Lunchbox: Marylin Manson
Shy Boy: David Lee Roth ( Steve Via & Billy Sheehan at their best...)
Addicted to that rush: Mr. Big

Diverse enough? How about this....

Vehicle: Ides of March
Get Ready, Celebrate, & I'm losing you: Rare Earth
Fortunate Son: CCR
Are you ready & I don't need no Doctor: Humble Pie
Nantucket Sleigh ride: Mountain
Highway Star: Deep Purple
Crossroads: Rush's Version
Man on the Silver Mountain & Kill the King: Rainbow
Hellbent for Leather & rock Forever: Judas Priest

And I didn't even get into the 80's dark wave stuff, like Ministry (New World Order...WOW!) or The Cure (Fascination Street grooves nicely...) or Hardcore such as Black Flag or the Dead Kennedys (Holiday in Cambodia is a GAURRATEED speeding ticket)

WHEW! Now I want to go burn some compilation CD's!

Bob Seger, Roll Me Away, Get Outta Denver
Bruce Springstein, Born to Run

Nice Boys Don't Play Rock 'N Roll........by Rose Tattoo

Damn, I don't know about only two but here goes. This is for "Cruising" not "speeding" right?.

Cruising:

#1.)Stranglehold- Ted Nugent

#2.)No Quarter- Led Zeppelin

Speeding:

#1.)Arise- Sepultura

#2.)Raining Blood- Slayer

Here's my short list. Note that this list changes weekly, but here's the current one:

1. Since I've Been Loving You - Led Zeppelin, the Mothership remastered version
2. Shoot 'Em Down - Twisted Sister
3. Trip At The Brain - Suicidal Tendencies
4. Liar - Motorhead
5. Crazy ***** - Buckcherry

Red Barchetta by Rush

I once ditched a cop while listening to that song. I know I'm bad.

Cool thread, I am going to have to look up some of this stuff. Must admit, I haven't heard some of these groups/songs...

Anyhow,
For cruising:
Manic Mechanic - ZZ Top, Love that Mopar starter at the beginning!
She loves my automobile - ZZ again, she really does love my automobile...
Copperhead Road - Steve Earle, any song with a "big block Dodge" got to be good, right!
Oxycontin Blues - Steve Earle
Heavy Metal - Don Felder
Hotel Illness - The Black Crowes
Hush - Deep Purple
Whiskey Rock a Roller - Lynyrd Sknyrd

For cruising "a little faster..."
LA Woman - Doors
King of the World - Steely Dan
Radar Love - Golden Earring

After this thread plays out I would like to hear what good radio stations y'all might have that play over the 'net. Our local station, WQBZ in Macon, Ga.-
Q106FM plays nothing but classic rock. It's alright, but I like to hear some new stuff too. I listen quite a bit to KZPS in Texas for new music..

Great list of songs.

Don't forget the B52's "Love Shack". It's an Oldie but goodie.

"Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail!
I got me a car, it seats about 20
So come on and bring your jukebox money."

(And, yes I know it's considered a chick's song. The girls here love it)

haha, i'm a lil newer aged...fresher? i dunno...lol, still none of that rap/hip-hop junk. although there is the occasional good one.

"Hi-way" Speeds a.k.a. 2hrs of distance in 30mins of time:
Night Drive - All-American Rejects
Open Road Song - Eve 6

The Pretender - Foo Fighters

She Hates Me - Puddle Of Mudd
Rollin' - State Of Shock
Pain - Three Days Grace

I still have the A.M. radio in my car, so I'll have to say MN Twins baseball, and crappy early morning radio infomercials.

All S.R.V. songes

Steppenwolf Born to be wild can get me started

Wow... if you want "Good Music" satellite radio is the only way to go. Here in New York we have 3 "rock" stations. One plays the same old Zeppelin -Beatles-Stones-Who crap they've BEEN playing for the past 20 yrs.... the other plays all the newer Foo Fighters-Korn-POD-System of a down stuff with a very repetitive play list. The newest wants to please everybody, and their play list jumps from Bob Dylan to Rush <shiver> to Blondie to Santana.

Sirius rules.... XM not bad either! :toothy10:

103.9FM use to be all new rock till it went rock/hip-hop (not as bad as i thought) but they recently got shutdown. :(

but i still have 104.3FM the hippo that plays classic rock and they have late nights with Alice Cooper. This station has turned me onto classic rock but i still love new stuff like system of a down.

i need to find a good new rock station. Maybe have to go satellite :( wonder how the selection and price is. :read2:
