Monster Mopar Weekend ?

-
Watching all that is available for now and the indication is that Ike will blow some rain into the area after it comes up through Texas and Ok and will send us some about this weekend and be ending Sunday or Monday and then blow on through. We'll have an eye on it for sure. Last year we had a little mist and some rain during the night but all in all it was comfortable and didn't mess with the drags too bad. I'll keep watching and keep this posted. Anymore going?

If the weather holds out my son and I might go check it out, never been to a MMW before.

The weather report is looking much better. 75 degrees every day and not much chance of rain. Hopefully their right and don't change it again.

last year I drove there the whole way in the rain, it stopped raining when I got to Arnold. Rain or shine again I'm going!!

.......forcast is looking very good. Ike disturbance is leaving here as i post and the temps for this weekend will be in the 70's. Those cars will be suckin some good cool air and makin plenty of ponies. For you that have never been there let me warn you. If you go once you'll go twice. Like Carlisle. If i lived close i would be there every year. Still trying to get a three car hauler to help me out. I've got one guy that is suppose to call me on the 15 th but the trailer is being loaded and we'll be there rain or shine. I'll expect everyone to sign the trailer then we will try and do a group photo after seting a time that we will try and meet there. Something to give to Joey. This should be one of the many different annual FABO gatherings across the nation.

I'd really love to make the trip. But I'd be looking at $270+ in gas PLUS food and at least 2 nights in motel rooms

Most definatley im going ill have a few dollars for the swap meet maybe get a few things for the dart. help you guys out

I spoke with the infamous MeMike today and he will be up tomorrow and he said he and Treva will be at MMW saturday signing autograghs for those that are looking for collectible FABO memorabilia. He said he'd start signing at a lesser price but as his writing hand gets tired the price will go up so get there early and for those of you that will be running late, i'll have him soak his hand in something that will be sure to ease the pain.....i mean soak his head......MARGARITAS.

Man, I like what i'm seein. This will be the best weather in years. Last year a little rain. Year before that hotter than the hubs of hell. Oh, I got the BBQ grill loaded. Mike it was good to see ya. I guess you made it home ok.

Hey Bigstrok3: Give me the in's and out's of getting to run a first time street car down the strip. I'd like to run 2 of em just to see what they will do. Where do i go, who do i see, school me please.

I'll be loaded and on my way Thursday evening. Hopefully they won't have I 70 tore up like last year. Went to both mapquest and modot, downloaded routes so I shouldn't get lost. Jeff

You will have to go threw the main gate and have to register both cars I think trophy is the cheapest class like 70-75 bucks a car. They will also have to both pass tech and if you run I think faster than 13.00 you need a helmet as long as big AL isnt teching cars its pretty easy to pass tech he is a real big guy you will know him when you see him lol.

Jeff I don't think there are any problems on 70 but for those who use 64 it's completely shut down from 270 till past the 170 interlink so if anybody coming from the west plans on using 64 make a new plan.

2 more days!!! I almost can't wait anymore---starting to lose sleep

That is what sounds really fun BigStroke3, everybody running looks like they are having a ball. Just to be able to go down a real race track would be alot of fun regardless of how fast. Looking forward to watching you run your car this weekend.

Hey guys, looks like I may be making a Banzai trip there after work on Saturday to race in Super Pro on Sunday. Should arrive to the track around 8:00am Sunday morning. Wish I did not have to work Saturday.

It is about 400 miles of travel each direction from Columbus so plenty of Mountain Dew ought to do the trick.
