Hey Guys

I am going to be dropping out the K-member from my 68 notch before I do the big block swap so I can rebuild everything. And just wondering if its worth while going to tubular upper control arms??? I just figured by the time I take my stock ones apart, blast and paint them, install new ball joints and bushings I am brobably pretty close to the $300 it cost for a set of brand new tubulars:dontknow: Your thoughts........????

Thanks
Derrick

63Belvedere, I put Magnmun Racing tubes on my 65 Valiant. Besides looking
good, they have more bushing contact area and really firmed up the feel
of the front suspension. Plus they are built with more caster and camber
adjustability. They are worth the few extra bucks compared to rebuilding
stockers.

Can't beat the improvement in the caster. The CAP tubular uppers have 3 degrees of caster and adjust to 7 if needed so regardless of ride height you can always get at least 3. They come powder coated and ready to bolt on.

Besides they ship out of either the US or Canada for you Canadians so there is no duty. Can beat that

Hey Ray
Heard your upper arms break just like the 2 x POS kframes you sold me. I'm still waiting for one of your good kframe customers to tell us all how well that product has done for them.

Send me my $2k and I will forget I ever dealt with your company. what did you think of that broken kframe I sent back to you on my dime???? I never heard back from you after I sent you that frame that broke in 10 different locations.
Feel free to call me if you want to make things right.....you have my money and my number.

OUCH!!!
i've had early magnum force non-adjustable tubulars on my car for years and i'm very happy with them. i can still get plenty of caster/camber compared to stock and they look cool too.
buy from a reputable company. well worth the $

love to see pictures man.

Being in Windsor, ON as well as 10secdart, I was hoping to check out the CAP Auto parts. I've done quite a bit of fabrication and my brother in law does all my welding (he's a welder by trade). Does anyone have pictures of how the CAP auto parts have failed? Is it a welding issue? Wrong specification metal? Bad design?

this one is the one i have seen.

Hey Ray/CAP/10secondart

Can you powdercost any of these parts? wazoo64 bought a K Frame from you that was DOA. You said that it bent because it was powdercoated. Also you have not once responded to the barrage of angry people here on FABO. Looks like what you lack in a decent, safe product, you make up for with your excellent customer service.

Here you go Joe.
You will notice that the idler arm mount in pix #1 broke completley off and we had to reattach. Flimsy stuff.
The strap style supports were a new addition to this product to help save weight. As you can see it crumbled everywhere.
In the last pix you will see how the power steering support crumbled which caused near catastrophic failure.

We couldn't get it to fit without stretching it with an airjack. I was told by Cap that when we powdercoated it that it must have changed shape due to the heat.

now that just doesn't sound right to me.

BS on the powdercoating shape changing I just did some custom Ram upper and lower control arms no changing and it usual done for a few minutes at 350-400* heat to cure.

Wazoo64 did the welds on the kframe look any worse then they do with the powdercoat? I know powdercoating kinda fills in bumps. I'm just curious if you saw those welds bare. I'm no pro but even my amateur welds look better

WOW thanks for the heads up guys !!!!
It looks like either Magnum Force or RMS. I will give them both a call when I am ready to order.

Thanks
Derrick
