  • How much tire clearance were you able to get with Hellwig 5906 sway bar? I’d like to put in one on my 68 barracuda and it doesn’t have sway bar tabs so will have to use the bottom shock bolt with the angle brackets. That puts the sway bar outside of the strut rod. Was wanting to put 17s on. Oh also got a 73 up disc brake kit. Any advice would be great

    thks ed
    Hey Joe,

This is the guy who bought your 64 Valiant. I was curious as to whether you ever replaced a manual steering box with one from Firm Feel or Steer and Gear, etc? Just curious as to whether the change in steering gear (from 24:1 to 16:1) would make it easier to turn like power steering, or just firm things up. Please let me know your thoughts when you can. Thanks-Doug
    Hi Joe,
I just purchased an alterktion front end. Looking to run a 17" wheel with a 5.5" BS... I see in an old post you were running a size like that. I can't find those anymore but was wondering what you were running today, and if you had any suggestions.
Did you post on my 70 Dart add? Got an email saying it, but didn't see anything

Hey Joe I was studying your very nicely laid out ignition switch replacement on your 70 Dart just now. I am replacing the ignition switch on my white 72 Duster of which I sold 4 years ago... I have it apart down to removing the bearing housing...the snap ring has been removed but I can't seem to get the housing with bearing to slide off the steering shaft. Wondering what you did to get it off the shaft? Thanks! Dave
