i am using a rear sump oil pan on my 5.7 but the dipstick on the side will not work because the plate between the pan and the block dosent have a hole for the side dipstick since i have already assembled the engine is there a way to cut that hole without removing the pan?
i totally agree i purchased a diablo sport scanner from chris when i bought the hotwire system but im not really very good with it im looking for a laptop based program to buy that may be easier to use
you are absolutely correct i mistakenly said i have a mass airflow sensor when i actually have a map sensor and i did email chris about the problems and he suggested i disconnect the battery to reset the computer and see if it helps the problem. also the white smoke disappeared when it warmed up...
can anyone suggest a laptop scan program for use on a genIII hemi swap. im looking for something that i can use to read codes and monitor systems without all the other junk that comes with the universal programs.
one thing i forgot to mention is when it was idling rough and backfireing i notice both exhausts were puffing out white smoke i had never seen that before
well i have listened around all the manifold and vacuum and the injectors and dont hear any odd noises and i checked all the fuses and they are ok what confuses me is when this happens if i remove and replace both o2 sensors the backfire stops and the engine idles smoothly but it has happened...

well you got me there im not sure about heaters in the o2's i did not know there were heaters for those the harness is from hotwire so i assume they may be there somewhere i checked fuses and do see any bad ones in the fuse block i think the code was po139 bank one sensor 2 or something like...
