    I've found putting Teflon tape on the threads of the flate-nut, acts as a friction reducer to allow you to actually tighten the fittings...

    The carbs are in the 1968 - 1969 range. 4401,4615, 4682 small carbs and 4640, 4618, and 4429 for the larger carbs.
