Correct me if I'm wrong (new to A bodies) but the VIN# didn't correspond to the stampings on the rad. support or trunk rail until 1969. At least that's how it is for B bodies. The numbers on the rad. support, trunk rail, fender tag and build sheet should match, but not to the VIN.
