My bows were rusty and fearing I would remove the color code on the bows I created notches in my bows with a file, one notch for front bow, two for second, etc. Good thing I did as the paint color was removed during the bow restoration process. :>)

Mine just has a large bolt in that location as it must have come from a car without back-up lights. I have a reproduction FSM but pages 21-19 & 20 are missing. That photo must be on one of those pages.

I've since lowered the rear about 4" at the rear bumper by using a lowering bracket on the front leaf springs. No clearance issues.
I have Doug's Headers on my '65 Dart Charger. yes, they are a tight fit on the driver's side and I had to ding one tube to clear my mini starter. Very tight clearance between the starter and torsion bar.
