Hey, I like that second idea...I think I've seen mufflers with the exhaust on the same end as the input, that could work also.

Here she is, bought as a roller and put my 69 340 motor and tranny in. I sold the Dana b-body diff that was under it, had shackles and air shocks maxed out and the low profile Mickeys stuck out a mile. Put my rebuilt 8 3/4 in it and brought it back down to earth. It came with these zoomies...

I know pinion gears are matched to the ring gear but has anyone ever used a different ring gear without changing the pinion?, and if so how'd that go? The reason I'm asking is, I picked up a clutch type sure grip yesday and a ring gear was still attached and it just so happens I have a pumpkin...
