the stop bushin only stop the amount of mech advance, the spring stiffness is wat will control the rpm range, so i think the 25 stop bushing miht be ok so i can run intial at 8-10 degrees and if i change to lighter springs the i should be able to get all in at 2200, 2800, 3400, 4000, 4400 or...

oldman i put the higher stop bushing in the dist. stock is 21 which, according to msd, would be all in around 3600rpm. I thought a longer spark advance would keep my power building as i revved up but now i'm thinkin i want all power available at lower rpms too

ok almost took a month but a few finacial set backs and hurdles with my engine install and it's all in and running :burnout: with no oil leaks and steady 50psi oil pressure at idle fighting a few probs with timing and carb tune up but i will start a new thread for that, just wanted to update...

rebuild it! I got my 904 rebuilt had it built for my est 400hp 318/390 stroker, i had a locally owned shop with great reputation do it and if i remember right it was around $1200 incl the 3000 stall convertor
