Got the sliders and 1 5/8 trunk bars in. Removed the spare tire well and moved my fuel cell farther back dropped into the .032 aluminum floor. Anything for a tenth!
5V gages. Use 1.5v AAs . 3 batteries is about 4.5 v. You can test by 1 battery should move the needle about a third, 2 (3v) about 2/3 and 3 batteries almost full sweep. Don't use 12v you will fry stuff!!!
Welded in a plate so that the sliders could be repositioned. Ya the bolts weigh. Right shackle was bound up! Surprised as i lubed them. This is strictly a race car. But I removed the spare tire well to free up some weight as well as the 10 pound steel battery tray!
Yes the steel vendor actually said that they would measure the wall thickness. My salesman told me they get large shipments and some walls are thicker. He had his people measure the wall thickness to give me stock that had thicker wall thicknesses. Marmon/Keystone was the vendor. I told him...
Got some Calvert sliders for my split mono leaf set up. Directions say to put the sliders with the rear spring eye bushing between 60 and 75% towards the rear with the vehicle at rest. Im thinking about making the slider mount a bolt in set up in case I have to move it,pita. Anyway what do...
So NHRA only needs a max diameter of 1.5/8 tubing. Paid 12.60 a foot for .120 wall MS. Delivery was $215 so I took the 175 mile round trip with the Ram and got 17.4 might at 3.50 a gallon for diesel. 35 bucks!
Cut out my spare tire well yesterday. Went rail to rail. Frame rails were excellent...
It was on my some 73 Duster and I just don't recall as that car has been gone for 5 years now. But it was an Addco kit for that application and we had no control arm tabs. May be longer than a factory bar. Don't know. I can measure it if anyone needs me to.
I believe the 90° bracket for the end link can be mounted to the shock bolt. I have the complete set up but dont know if it will work with your factory tabs. Also have an Addco rear sway bar set up from our 73.
I've got an Addco but it's for a car without factory swaybar tabs. Don't know if it'll work with the factory set up. It is fat and goes through the 73 K frame.
You can do full master pressure to the front disc and should use an adjustable valve for the rear drums. Im sure who ever valve you use will have adjustment instructions.
I have a dual quad 440 4 spd 410 geared B body but I enjoy driving my wife's 64 Dart 225 almost as much. The car is a joy to drive to the point that sometimes Id rather drive that, underpowered and all! No you're not nuts. Beautiful car btw!
