    Roller rockers

I have had those on my 440 for 15 years or so. Probably less than 20k on them. Regularly buzz the engine to 6200 as it's a 4 speed. Hold there adjustment well. But I've heard many people on this forum say no aluminum rockers on a race car.

    RPM drop and electric fans!

70 amps but what does it put out at idle? Are the fans drawing more than being put out? The alternator may be dragging the idle down although 400 rpms seems like a lot.

Are 10 inch spindles identical side to side?

Be careful of which bolt you screw in. It has a longer thread or I should say has a shorter shoulder. The wrong bolt won't clamp it all together as the shoulder will hit the threaded part. 100 lbs on the lock nuts for the bj.

    Best fitting headers

I ran the cookie cutter under the centerlink headers for years as that was all I could afford and the first good bump and the tubes would crush....I agree the Doug's we ran in my son's 73 360 Duster were the best fitting. But I'd like to see a dyno test before and after squished headers. I...

Who makes the best aluminum BB waterpump housing? Mancini is having a free shipping sale but I don't know if there housing is any good. I have heard some lower hose fittings are very restricted. Who has a quality aluminum housing?

    Adult swim

Im going to say close ratio. With that rear gear and first in the wide ratio first gear will be too steep. I've got 4.10s and a 309 commando first gear. At the track you have to shift almost immediately after you dump the clutch. That said if you change the rear gear to the 3.54s I think you...

Instrument panel Light dim issue Valiant 1965

If you did not have the battery disconnected when you pulled the cluster you probably shorted out the the gage that has the voltage limiter built into it.

    Light weight battery

The total loss part is how long the battery will last without being recharged. How much do you use without recharging? Running fans and waterpumps sucks juice. I run an alternator so I'm all set.

    Light weight battery

I went with a Braille i35. Lithium ion phosphorous battery. 9.75 pounds. But....don't forget their special charger thats required. They have a lower aH rating but apparently that is different than a lead acid battery. Are you running an alternator? At the track last weekend so.eone...

    Best fitting headers

I'd say everyone has the same price but a friend orders stuff through a chain store and gets an additional discount like Auto Zone. And dont forget you can get uncoated Doug's and do your own finish.

A Rant About Big Shops And Stealerships And BS

I worked at a stealership for all of my adult life. I couldn't take the soccer moms.gettomg raped anymore and quit. [WANTED] 10 inch backing plates

Apparently the 8.75 10 inch set up I was planning to use wont fit the 7.25 in the wife's 64 Dart. So I need some 4 bolt hole backing plates for a 7.25 with the 10x1.75 shoes. If you want to trade for my 5 hole plates from my 66 8.75 rear I'd do that too.

    A-Body 66 Barracuda 8.75 backing plates

That'd be ugly. Ive got some 10 in plates off a 66 8.75 that I was planning on putting on the wife's 64 7.25. I was under the impression that it'd fit and you just didn't have to use the 6 o'clock bolt hole. So there are different backing plates for a 7.25 with 10 inch drums?

    A-Body 66 Barracuda 8.75 backing plates

So on an early A 7.25 rear with 10 inch there must have been a 4 bolt backing plate or did they just use the 5 hole 8.75 backing plate and not use the bottom stud/nut?

    Track temperature question

Racing starts at 6pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. Sunset is presently about 630. Last week i got 2 runs before dark. When the sun set the temps quickly dropped below 50. NED closes Halloween.
