    Yoke seal

So you are looking for a 904 output seal? I believe there are a few different ones but you may get a replacement without the balloon style seal/vent . Although that's what you want. IF you believe the tailshaft is original to the transmission you can use the pk # from above the pan rail to...

    Instrument cluster test

Let me just advise you to have the battery disconnected when pulling and installing the cluster. The stud for the voltage limiter will be live and can easily short out. And if you haven't all ready done so, please add a good ground to the PC board. Otherwise your cluster may not work till bolted...

What are you using for a trunk mounted battery?

You can never go wrong with fatter cables. A 500 amp solenoid mounted in the trunk to the starter that's only live in start mode. A separate fat alternator wire. I have a buss bar under the dash for both + and -. Fused near the 31 series battery. Make sure your alternator puts out adequate...

    Cracked ceramic plug issues

I think they mean the end of the plug is a threaded post. I was thinking about how some of the late model engines use a smooth ceramic as opposed to the ribbed style that the 3910 plug is. Well I'll see how long this set works and if I get another failure I may try a different brand. AR3910 is...

    Cracked ceramic plug issues

I usually do and made sure this plug/wire got some. That was my initial plan to grease it and see if that took care.of it ,but then I saw the crack.thanks

    Cracked ceramic plug issues

I thank you both but this arc has only started recently. I am always very careful with the ceramic and if there's ever a question I replace it. It's difficult enough getting at the plugs.as far as a rubber boot inside the socket sometimes I find it very difficult to get the socket off. Usually I...

    Cracked ceramic plug issues

Started up the Valiant this weekend for the first time this year. Looking for issues I found another spark plug wire shorting out the end of the boot to the hex on the plug. Pulled the plug and the ceramic is cracked. This is the 3rd AR3910 plug that has done this. Seems odd. WTF. Have and MSD7...

    Engine Crane Boom Upgrade

I extended the boom on my Garbage Freight hoist as the piston would hit the bumper such that the chain was at an angle to attach to the carb plate. I think these cranes were designed for FWD cars. Ya the crane tends to tip forward which requires a counter weight, me....definitely can be...

Manual Trans Advice- the Importance of Matching Your Clutch To Your Application...

Still working on clutch slip settings on my soft locker. Presently down to 1 turn away from 0 clamping load. Last runs last year when I pulled the car off the trailer and let up on the clutch the car went no where! I gave it gas and it crept forward. Drove around the pits warmed up the fluids...

    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

I have no idea if a clutchfan set up will clear with a belt driven pump but there was room to put a pusher infront of the radiator. Only like a single 16 . If you are going electric you really need a dual fan set up which will take up a lot of room. If the fans aren't drawing 35 to 40 amps they...

The issue is that a fabricator needs to be able to come off that port and take a 90. A 2 inch primary needs at least 2 inches to turn. There isn't 2 inches. But I don't know about a B engine. Hey drop one in and see.

    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

Is this a street car? If so there isn't a lot of room for a radiator. The small radiator support opening doesn't help either.

    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

I'm guessing here that the exhaust ports would be lower on the shock tower with a B engine and that would be worse.

    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

The other issue is k frame probably needs to be notched for your oil pan and figuring out your steering linkage. A V8 dropped centerlink helps. If I had to do it over I'd run a dry sump system. I've got a custom pan with a window for the linkage but it's close enough to the rear of the block...

    1963 Dodge Dart 440 727 install.

I used a set of Shumacher mounts on a bare 440 block and an empty 727 to set up my motorplate and used a factory trans mount to help set up. I don't recall having to do anything to the pinched but the car had had a 360/727 drivetrain at one point and I believe the pinch welds were hammered back...

    First Project

Let me just suggest a Strange S60 for your build. Usually they have a free freight on complete rear axle assemblies like in late fall. You can get away with a spool and save some money. I have a 66 Valiant and built a stout 8.75. Once I got everything squared away at the engine end the rear end...
