Its going to be 51 at sunset tonight. Is it too cold to expect a good 60 foot time?

I think youll be good. I have raced at tracks were it was 38 degrees and good prep. The bite was strong. So its all going to come down to their prep work.

what time do they start racing? If they are racing in the day the cars will keep some heat in the track.

What is the daytime temp and weather, is the sun going to be out? Can make a big difference.

Every track and track owner is different so it could be fine or not good depending.

Dew is a huge red flag.

If car gets out of shape the run is over, lift and race again, don't get back on it.

we always checked asphalt temp at both ends of the track, that's the biggest factor to take into consideration before anything else.

Racing starts at 6pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. Sunset is presently about 630. Last week i got 2 runs before dark. When the sun set the temps quickly dropped below 50. NED closes Halloween. But there are 2 or 3 weekend day test and tune sessions left. No more cool night racing for me as much as the engine likes it.
