    This again.... 4bbl on a 318 with a 2bbl

Edelbrock 1406 is supposed to be calibrated for daily driving and economy, the 1405 is calibrated richer and has different primary boosters for performance.

    273 commando Build

Hey Stroker402, itching to know how things are going with your awesome 273 Commando, six months out. I've got a nice 67 fastback with a 273 Commando 4-speed, it runs okay but I'd love to replicate what you've done. You ended up using that ISKY T3 solid lifter cam, yeah?

    This again.... 4bbl on a 318 with a 2bbl

Edelbrock Performer intake and either an Edelbrock 600, or a Holley 600 vac sec carb, is the best all round 4BBL package for a 273 / 318 in my opinion. Both items are relatively cheap and available. Remember that you'll need a decent twin system exhaust to take advantage of the 4BBL setup...

    Factory Hurst Shifter “68”

HemiSSDart, I should have been clearer in my post. My car originally came with an Inland shifter which looked cool but didn't work as well as I hoped, so I found a '68 HURST shifter and swapped it out. The difference is night & day.

    Factory Hurst Shifter “68”

I have a 67 Barracuda Formula S 273-4 speed with an original '68 HURST console shifter. To get into reverse it's definitely, to the left and up, not push down.

    65 Barracuda 273 pulldown started.

65 Dartman, I don't disagree with using a COMETIC head gasket with a tighter bore size, they are the leaders in the industry and make great products. If you run through the math on the difference between 3.96" to 4.14" bore size at the same 0.028" thickness, it's a negligible increase in SCR...

    Mr Gasket makes a 0.028" thick head gasket with a 4.14" bore size - PN# 1121G

    Performer 318/360 intake

I remember reading in an old Mopar Muscle magazine some years ago, that a 318/360 Performer intake with a simple port match to 360 intake port size and a one (1) inch open spacer worked almost as well as a Performer AG intake on a standard stroke 360 combo (400-450HP) to 6,000RPM. Almost... I...

What vehicles had a HIPO 318?

Never quite thought of it that way 273. You actually can't compress what's not there, great point!

Big bolt pattern axles drum brake

Oldmanmopar, I have a 67 Barracuda with 8-3/4" rear and Kelsey Hayes discs up front. I'll like to go big bolt pattern as well, are the mustang rotors a bolt in with the existing calliper assemblies? Can you please provide some more information?

    Combination for a peppy 340

I'm with Rusty, pistons are sitting proud of the block a fair way. Measure accurately to determine static comp, then do the math to work out dynamic comp using a cast open chamber head. Should be around 9.5 - 10:1 static, with 8:1 dynamic comp, that will work great with the MP 484 cam and pump...

A Body Mopar disk brake wheels 14x5.5 JJ

Thanks HemiSSDart, I know the 14x5.5J wheels fit both drum & disk, but what makes the disk brake wheels different to the standard 14x4.5?

A Body Mopar disk brake wheels 14x5.5 JJ

Just wondering what's the difference between a standard steel wheel for a drum-brake A Body and one with Kelsey Hayes disc-brakes? I have a 67 Barracuda with Kelsey Hayes brakes up front and looking for a set of OEM steel wheels to go back to the stock standard look with wheel covers and red...

    Comp XE262H camshaft lobe condition?

As a side note, I took off the Edelbrock 600 carb I've been running last night and installed a nice Holley 600 DP I had. Runs great, idles better and seems to make a little more power everywhere, judging by the 'feel by the seat of ***' meter. I also have the original Carter AFB 4924s & cast...
