thoughts on replacing the piece of fusible link that runs from the starter relay to the bulkhead with a maxi-fuse? Was driving the other day and lost all power, pulled over and sure enough it was the fusible link. Just thinking in the future if there's a problem it would be a lot easier...
It's going in a slant 4speed 4door valiant so not too concerned with a big tire. Want to put some gear to it and don't want to put a dime in a 7.25 if I can make this 8 3/4 work. He's asking $400 and it's has a rebuilt posi 3.55 3rd member.
Found a guy selling an "a-body 8.75", went to look at it and it's a narrowed e-body rear. The perches are correct width but the rear is 50 5/8" flange to flange. So 2" narrower than it's supposed to be. It would be going in an early A. Will be running steelies. Think the 1" per side is enough...
I was thinking so. he had mounted the regulator to the fender next to the alternator. w/ the new harness in it looks like there is only that one plug for the regulator. anybody have a wiring diagram they could post?
