Im in the middle of replacing the hacked engine harness in my 65 valiant. I have the new harness in and it fires up. Just wondering what went here.

And of course those rectangular holes aren't supposed to be there. BTW, you are lucky w/ the 1965 bulkhead connector. It has large buss feed-thrus for the thick ALT and BAT wires, so doesn't suffer the melt-downs of other years (exc. 1963).

Right you are Tim. I must have been looking at it like one of those optical illusions where you either see a woman's black profile or a white vase.

I was thinking so. he had mounted the regulator to the fender next to the alternator. w/ the new harness in it looks like there is only that one plug for the regulator. anybody have a wiring diagram they could post?

These are some before pictures of the hacked harness :banghead:

Posted this so many times I've lost count

Go over to MyMopar

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=31

Click on "service manuals, and download the 65 Plymouth

http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=109

Also there are wiring diagrams which are NOT factory but are sometimes easier to "follow"

you do cut and past this, 67Dart273, right?

Nope just type it. Google MyMopar and post that link. One reason I hate the newer browsers and especially Exploder. I dont use "tabs" very much, I use a "top" window that is undersized, with two or three others "under it"

I printed my copy from there, I used it alot doing my build. Good site,
