Here is more info... The date code on the engine is 9-27-71.
The number stamped on the front of the block. 39038100.
There is another number MH 340 P. I suspect someone stamped this one on.
The head casting #’s. 3418915H 0552 360
I am considering purchasing a 340. I was told it was used in a dyno room only. Mild cam. All else stock. Any guidance on price range or questions I should be asking them?
I can’t tell what the date code is on the block. Is that a 73?
I have a 71 Demon as well... with a snorkel hood... same as you 71GSSDemon. I prefer the dual scoops. Were all 1971 Dodge Demon's equipped with dual scoops vs. snorkel scoop?
Looking for a 1971 Rallye dash bezel. Ideally not cut up. I can get it refurbished, but I’m even struggling to find a solid core. Any help is appreciated.
I pulled the instrument cluster bezel from my 1971 Demon. Rallye. Was going to get it refurbished but it has radio cut up, etc.
Any recommendations on where I can get a clean core to refurbish? Or a solid used one? Also classic industries sells them, are they solid?
Also, for my auto floor...
I know expensive. But what is quality, fit, look of the classic industry instrument cluster bezels? I am looking for options to replace my 1971 Rallye one.
If it is chrome... I wonder if a product called Flitz polish would work. I recently used to polish up chrome bumper/ mirrors/ wheel moldings/ door handles... and works very well! Careful with paint (on bezels etc) I think it would pull it right off.
