    Power brakes??

    I can't really launch it. It just smokes the one tire! Then I get scared I'm gonna blow my 7 1/4 diff. It goes pretty good for what it is. Once I get the 8 3/4 in I'm gonna take it to the strip and see what it does. I think if can get traction it will launch pretty good. Time will tell I guess...

    That's exactly how close mine is! I ground down my Pcv valve for some clearance.

    It works really well! I'm in the process of repairing my rear frame rails and installing an 8 3/4 right now. If I drive it easily it's no worse on gas than the 318 was! Passes pretty strong on the highway too. I'll try to get a measurement tomorrow.

    My 75 dart with a 440 and schumacher kit clears the booster. Pcv valve is pretty close though. That's with stock valve covers.

    I've got a 69 satellite I'm thinking of selling. Not tubbed though. Car is in body work stages. Was on a rotisserie.

    Big Block Conversion, do it again?

    Now that mine is done I would definitely do it again. If you asked me while I was doing it I'd say never! It totally transforms your car. And I honestly didn't notice much of a handling difference, but I did change torsion bars. But it was a huge job! If I did it again it would be a lot easier...

    440 install finally finished!

    Just replaced timing chain, otherwise just as it came out of motorhome! I used the schumacher headers hooked to 2.5 inch exhaust it already had.

    440 install finally finished!

    Installed my 1973 motorhome engine with schumacher headers and mounts, was a big job but I think it was worth it! Motor had 32000miles on odometer, cleaned up and painted, rebuilt thermoquad and installed. My 318 had a whiplash cam and four barrel, performance improvement with the 440 is huge...

    Thanks! I did it exactly that way but didn't put back wheels on ramps. That would help a lot.

    Not sure what to do

    I removed the 318 from my car on the k frame from the bottom. Wasn't as easy as I thought. Now I have the k frame ready and the 440 ready. The question is do I put the 440 on the k frame and attempt to go from the bottom up or put the k frame back in and put the motor and trans in from the top...

    Decisions decisions....

    The heads have the smaller spark plugs and extra cooling but other than that look the same! Guess I'm just gonna try it. Got nothing to lose. Will be interesting to see how it performs. Is it possible to change the tail shaft on the 727 motor home trans to a regular tail shaft with a slip yoke?
