the person that quoted me the crack head ans ,said there was a factory bulletin on the heads and was dodge ans to head problem
i am driving the truck as a daily transport,not racing or looking for perf
so i will check for warp and install
was told that the cracks were to be overlooked as it is a normal thermal effect
and be more concerned with warping of heads
thoughts?
really do not have the cash for new heads and the 340 engine would be a plumbing
nightmare to install and use the ecu harness for me any how
had the 5.9 blow headgasket and saw the 340 heads and got me thinking about fast fix, but broke as hell ,life goes on ,going to take the 5.9 heads and have them checked for warp and mill if needed and throw it back together
i am tired
pulled top end yesterday saw the cracks in between valves
bottom seem good
good old truck
cant wait to get her running again a give the lancer a vacation
my 99 durango has a 5.9magnum
blew head gaskets and cracked the heads
need a set for stock daily driver truck ,so a plain complete set of heads to bolt on with no issues is what i am looking for
