    Rear Disc Brakes Hanging Up

To clarify, when I disconnected the rear brake line the binding did not stop. I plan on taking the rear calipers off making sure everything rebuilt and functional. The Hydroboost was a concern and I did size the rod that depresses the master cylinder when adapting it to my a body. I did double...

    Rear Disc Brakes Hanging Up

Thanks for the advice. I have checked for a residual valve in the master cylinder and the rear calipers still seamed to hang up after disconnecting the brake line. I also have checked that the parking brake shoes are free and properly adjusted. I am going to check the rear calipers and see if...

I am using a hydroboost froma Chevy Astro van, an aluminum style Mopar master, A-body drum-drum distribution block, front disc Mopar 11" and Ford Explorer rear disc setup on a 9" rear axle. Why?

Just out of curiosity how are you guys wiring your fuel pumps? My personal experience was with VW off-road cars and due to the possibility of a crash we used this wiring to kill the pump.

How to Remove Pit Marks in my 68 Tail Panel

I sanded mine starting 100 and worked my way up to 1000. Then buffed to a good gloss. I used a Makita electric palm sander which leaves oscillating sanding marks which polish out easier than straight sanding marks.

How to Remove Pit Marks in my 68 Tail Panel

SSSN8KE, I went through the same issues while restoring the surrounds and trunk trim on my '67 Barracuda. Trailbeast referred me to Leanna at Phoenix Specialty Coatings. She recommended Cerakote MC-160. All you will need the 4oz. tester size and a small HVLP gun from Harbor Freight. All of the...

How many of you grease your own trailer axles?

I understand the concern about the oil bath rearing conversion. From what I have found from local boat and rv trailer shops the oil baths are more reliable and easy to check for oil level thru the cover and can be filled easily. If you have questions contact ETrailer they respond fairly quick...

    Ford 9" in 1965 Barracuda...an option?

For my Barracuda a 9” ford from a Granada or Versailles was an easy choice. Cheap, bolts right in an it was simple to convert to rear disks using parts from an Explorer. Granted finding a Granada rear axle may not be easy, and modifying a typical 9” will add to final investment. A 9” Ford will...

    1986 police engine

I have a high volume oil pump, and the pressure stays at or above normal pressure. The cooler has a heat sensitive valve. From what I have read the need to provide better oiling to the timing chain was why it squirts the chain. The crank to cam distance is long compared to most motors. So far so...
