76orangewagon - What key/switch setup did you use for that?

Installing an aftermarket tilt column is the plan just thought since I'd be doing some wiring anyway, why not. I'm looking at an Ididit universal column.

I like the cleaner look of a keyless column so I am thinking about moving the ignition switch to the dash (or ? ) on my '71 Dart. Does anyone out there have any advice on completing this move?

Not sure how big the controls are but I though it might be neat to fab up a way to hide it in the ash tray.

I also have the rod that connects the z bar to the transmission.

It's a 1971 Dart Swinger with an unknown year 225 and a 1974 904 transmission. The linkage is also from a '74. I'm thinking I can use the factory setup from the carb down to the swivel piece that mounts on the manifold then attach the cable where the long rod would go. I'll add pics tomorrow.

I am having trouble figuring out how I'm going to attach the kickdown on my Dart. It's a single barrel 225 / 904. I have some of the original kickdown parts but it's not complete. I also have a lokar cable that I can use. Has anyone used the lokar with a Carter single barrel, and if so, how...

As best I can tell, mine measures right at 52 3/4. This would be right in line with the 1973-1976 Duster Dart Sport with 904 and 8 1/4 from the above chart.

Hmmm. My 1971 Dart has an 8 1/4 (318/904 car). I was lead to believe it was original. Guess I need to research that.
