    Sad News about Bob Mazzolini

This is from a member of a SoCal car club newsletter yesterday about Bob Mazzolini and his race shop: "I went to Bob Mazzolini's shop yesterday. Employee Ken told me that Bob recently had bypass surgery, then an infection. Doctors could not stop it. They had to amputate Bob's left leg above the...

    273 Commando valve covers

Thanks Geof! I have some core fins in my stash (not for sale) and a homemade tool that reaches under the baffle to help with "stovepipe crush" but they're not easy to fix.

Another Facebook Scammer "Mopar Marketplace" forum

Jeff, if it was a deal across state lines that's federal. Most law enforcement agencies these days also have an Internet Fraud Division that will help. I had to enlist them when a member turned into a stalker and they jumped right on it.

Alternative to Bright Dip Anodizing Trim

Everyone should watch this. Mr. Blake posted a follow up today that will make you smile though! Thanks for the mention @RustyRatRod!! Rather than clear powder or automotive clear, I don't do a ton of polishing and buffing but have had fabulous results from Cerakote clear ceramic coatings...

Seeking advice on applying clear powder coat

That one was formulated for aluminum but they have a couple others that might work too. I don't do much on brass.

Seeking advice on applying clear powder coat

I'd use a clear ceramic instead of powder. Check out MC5100 for polished metals. Cerakote.com

Give me an education about this "PIRATE SHIP" method that has been discussed here.

"Thave uhh ta ayeny niennn pathent maidey" Yep, I thounded it out.

    Shipping LCA's via USPS

I see some great and some seriously lame packing efforts at my shop. Most shipping damage happens when parts are shoved into a too-small box to save a couple bucks. Avoiding the "three inches of collapsible material on all sides of the item being shipped" will cancel out any insurance you might...

Paint on rear window chrome pieces, '65 Barracuda

 "... it's only a five color job," possibly on (58 year old) pot metal. Any powder rookie should be jumping all over that.
