Pretty easy to make. Took me maybe an hour or hour an a half. You don't need to many fancy tools to do it. I only made one. I got too many car projects going on to make more. Youtube blacksmithing a metal rose I believe and give it a try.
Well I guess if you are calling us out I weld. Prefer tig myself and I cheated and used a sander on one of these but that is also a pretty valuable skill. Knowing how to metal finish pieces correctly. Keeping the welds coming and there's some nice work here.:burnout:
Well I've always hated the ugly pinch weld too. Problem is it hangs 1 7/8" under the stock frame rails. With out a complete custom chassis and floors that makes it pretty difficult to do. Maybe the next car I build. I got the exhaust tips designed and now have to get the exhaust up to them...
Well i got some Hooker headers laying around I was going to look at first and consider modifying. If I have to build custom headers, no big deal. There kind of fun to build anyhow.
Alright got some updates. The quarters are close to fit along with the trunk extensions. I've been focused on getting my exhaust exiting threw the quarters. The exhaust tips will probably follow the card board templates shape.
I'd like to possibly enter some open road challenges with the car. There are no SCCA events around MN that I am aware of. Car will have a 1 3/4 custom cage in it built by me. Working on the custom 4 link mounts and fitting the quarters along with new trunk extensions. I'll move on to the getting...
No plans for air ride. Just double adjustable coil overs. No plans for fender flares at the moment either. As far as paint color I haven't picked out anything specific. Thinking possibly a wicked green like the Dodge Viper snakeskin color. Threw in some more pics of the subframe connectors I...
