Glad to hear they're alright to use on a mostly street car. I wasn't sure what the drive is like and whether or not it'd be rough to drive.

It would seem to me that I've tried virtually every possible combo of a lot of slack, to as tight as I can get it, I get no downshifts and I'm in 3rd in seems like no time at all with no torque at all. Suspecting I may have lost the trans completely at this point.

Replacing the cam, lifters and heads while keeping the intake (Weiand Action Plus), Holly 600 carb and hedman headers. Looking for a little more grunt and a touch more HP at the top. Haven't decided yet on any of the replacement parts, working with a local guy who's pretty good with setting...

Still looking at head choices but Edelbrock Performer RPM, and Speedmaster are both at the top of the list so far. This car will never see a turbo or supercharger so I don't need to go insane with this, but new aluminum heads will flow better than these, even with a good port grind and valve...
