Food for thought I am thinking about getting a tk]o tremec 5 speed trans then change the rear end gears up. Shoot for 1/4 mile speed yet have the 5 th gear for highway
thanks found out tremec does not make one for the a body but silver sport transmissions takes trans apart and mills the case for the tortion bar clearance and has different crossmenber , so it is there kit. shifter comes up stock location, new driveshaft included
how many guys have got new tremec or similar 5 speed close ratio manual trans for there a bodies? do you like them? does it make the car quicker and still have a good highway rpm on highway? etc. thinking of getting one for my 67 cuda. asking for pros and cons. comments??
just pick up this car a couple months ago. spending more money on upgrades runs good and strong. 4 speed manual. had to get dual friction ceramic clutch right off stock one to weak
yes brakes are quite new I loosened hem a bit I will try a bit more and try watching the wheel cyl to see if it goes back in place and not hanging up. carful so I do not blow out the caps on it
would like to talk about sway bars for the 67 cuda....just put on a cpp disc brake conversion on front with power brake master cylinder that came with kit. it seems to want to engage the rear brakes early, it does not have adjustable proportioning valve, any suggestions?
