That flame thrower will work all well and good
but not quite as effectively as the HEI coil
something to do with the flux density and core layout
it will be minimal i would think
everything is a compromise
although advertising your coil as very hot might not be wise
yeah it will be out by a proportion of the wave form, i forgot about that, 1/2 to 3/4 of a sine wave signal from the pickup early by the look of things .
below a small signal = low rpm big signal = high rpm
triggers at a level above or below 0 volts and with it the wrong way round it...
1) initial timing will be the same if you do not move the distributor
2) all timing after that will be miles out if you connect the pickup the wrong way. if it runs like crap swap the input wires around.
3) timing in general with it connected the right way will vary slightly due to the...
no hole in an orginal filler plug
completely sealed unit
plug used for refill only if it leaks or needs a rebuild.
the only place it will leak is the seal on the sector shaft. if your pitman arm is oily and greasy top up your steering box... and add another awkward job to your list.
if...
i know two people who have these and have not a bad word to say about them
SPC Performance Mopar A/B/E Body Adjustable Upper Control Arms (Pair)
cost would be my first thought....
Dave
filler plug
originals were not vented
originals had a mopar oily grease concoction in them. might have been multi mileage lube might not.
closet you can get today is Texaco/Chevron MARFAC but they seem to sell that stuff in 40 gallon drums.... you'd be investing $$$ hundreds for a job...
if it works it works
so it comes down to are you comfortable knowing that it has a slight bend?
id be checking the opposite side of the bend for witness marks
was this just sloppy factory part? or did it land and support the weight of the car on a big rock and get bent after the day it was...
i was always a younger member of the club i'm in, because i got into Mopar accidentally in about 2000
but we are all old now...
i still get "good to see you Young Man" but its all relative at 54 i'm as bald an grey and fat as the rest of em.
in the UK you got into mopars in the 70s when the...
my relay is on the inner fender just behind the battery tray But mine is a 1970s A body car
check ground strap between motor and motor mount chassis side
check ground strap from battery negative to chassis
check the fat cable that bolts to the starter relay

is the sure grip a clutch plate version (mopar like) or a cone based version (borg warner like)
if the latter and if it has separate side gears and cones it can be rebuilt by shimming between them. provided there is space between end of case and end of cone. if not some lathe work...
if the peddle is high or too low you can use throw out bearing carrier of a different length to assist. in general those used as standard are longer than those used with with twin plate clutches to keep the clutch arm at a sensible position in the bellhousing window
so no offset hex to help
in theory if they have seen some use they may well now have a slight offset which you might be able to spot so you can work out which side is which.
all i can think of is 2 vices on the bench, clamp one hex end in one vice and nip up the other to just touching the...
