Rebuilding a 7 1/4" Suregrip Differential Yourself?

Hello all,
I have an open 7 1/4" rearend that I will be replacing with a 7 1/4" suregrip unit.
The suregrip unit needs to be rebuilt.
I have all the OEM parts to rebuild the Suregrip (bearings,pinion gears, clutch pack, etc.)
Has anyone attempted to try and rebuild a 7 1/4" suregrip by themselves?
There aren't too many videos available on rebuilding 7 1/4" rearends that I can find.

You need to measure and record the backlash on your rear end and make sure and reinstall the posi with your original ring gear on it so it has no more than .002 difference in back lash than originally

is the sure grip a clutch plate version (mopar like) or a cone based version (borg warner like)

if the latter and if it has separate side gears and cones it can be rebuilt by shimming between them. provided there is space between end of case and end of cone. if not some lathe work necessary

if its plate based... well.... easier to rebuild
