I put a 10 1/2" clutch setup in one of my D/Darts. It has a 1999 Mopar Performance 360 ci - 380 hp Crate engine in it. Used a Challenger bell housing and got the z-bar and brackets and flywheel from Brewers. Great guy to deal with. Used the Doug's 450 headers and a Dodge Dakota starter.
Yes they are both true D/Darts that I own. The candy apple red and white mother of pearl was Ted Spehar and Ralph Costa's D/Dart -original race engine with a larger cam.. The all white one came out of CA. Was Dana's old car. He put the crate engine in it. Has 4.10 gears in it.
I'll also have to say the 1966 D/Darts. This is the first of the 50 D/Darts produced. It was picked up at the assembly plant by Ted Spehar. I know of 11 survivors.
Not a mistake. It is the correct date. It's the paperwork from a 1966 D/Dart which had the LO23 vin callout. Not the 1968 LO23. I posted it to show what they did to get the LO23's through the build sequence at the plant.
I saw an old post on this site reguarding the LO vs L0 vin plates. This is from March/1966 which is prior to the launch of the D/Dart. It states that the VIN is intended to be L"OH".
Gotcha. Thought maybe you knew something that I did know about them. I own 2 now and owned another one back in the 1990's. One of my currones is Ted Spehar and Ralph Costa's old race car. Bought that when we lived up in Warren, MI.
I have a Mopar 360 Magnum crate engine in my 66 D/Dart. I had to notch it to clear the steering arm. I heard that some people have taken a hammer to that area.
