Ive had 1" spacer/adapters on my valiant just for visual appeal for 3 or 4 years now, no problems. My engine isn't all that powerful so maybe not the best testament. They do seem like you get what you pay for with these, I wouldn't go cheap.

Did you know you can put 2 inch sections of rubber hose between the distributor and plug wires, then touch a grounded test light to each one and it will kill the cylinder? I just found that out a couple years back, though it was kinda neat.

What have you done up to this point?

I predict permatex, with a container that fancy it's gotta work. My go to is Threebond 1217h. I work on Subarus for my day job and that's the recommended sealer for many of them. Naturally I started using it on everything because I had extra and it seems to hold up well.

Thanks guys I just ordered the rockauto part. Hopefully this will get my oil pan off my cross member and lift the engine enough to stop the cooling fan from tapping the lower radiator core when I shift into reverse.... Ha
