    73 swinger 383

Trying to sell my project, just too much for me to handle right now. Anyway, its a 73 swinger, 383/727 with 8 3/4 rear. Spool in the rear, new carpet (not the best install) 383 has a cam, single plane, Holley carb and was a good runner when I parked it. It was parked due to a fuel pump...

TTi exhaust kit, or haul it to the muffler shop?

Plans for the car...weekend warrior mostly, something decent to cruise around in. It was a perfectly good car until I needed to put in a new fuel pump, things got a little out of hand from there. The exhaust that was on it was a little mismatched and it needed manifold gaskets...I figured add...

TTi exhaust kit, or haul it to the muffler shop?

Well the exhaust is the only thing really keeping my car up in the air and not on the street. I need a full exhaust system, or I could scab it together with my universal 3in kit I have i guess. Anyway, what would I be looking at for price difference with a TTi kit vs. a custom exhaust from a...

    Hooker Fenderwells

Looking for a set of BB Hooker fenderwells for my dart prefer 1 7/8 inch primaries, but 2 inch would be fine too. Don't need to be pretty, just no holes/large dents. let me know what you got.

Ok to heat and bend a pitman arm?

Well, I think I am going to try to lift the engine a little and then end up denting a tube or two. I really am getting frustrated with this car though, if someone made a decent offer it would probably go, its hard to find time to work on it!

Ok to heat and bend a pitman arm?

Tell you what guys, I have decided not to mess with the pitman arm... Actually, I'm thinking about selling the whole thing, its becoming to big of a pain.

Ok to heat and bend a pitman arm?

I've done some reading on it, and it sounds like you run into trouble with strength of the part being compromised when you quench the metal, letting it cool naturally is much better for the part. Also, I should mention, this car will see less than 500 miles on it in any given year, and no track...

Ok to heat and bend a pitman arm?

Pretty self explanitory question from the title, but since I am new I'll tell a little about the car. Its a 73 swinger with a 383. I'm in the process of adding headers, Hooker Comps and I don't think anyone else has put these in successfully. So far I've done it with no dents to the headers...

Thanks guys... The rollbar is long gone...previous owner removed it before selling it. 4.30 gears are hopefully going to be replaced with a set of 3.23s, that'll help make it a lot more driveable. First things first though, need to finish the exhaust, put the seats back in it, and do...

I bought the car this way for the most part. I've been replacing things as I go. My best guess is that it was going to be a 1/8th mile car, it had a cage before I bought it and its got 4.30 gears...still a lot to change obviously. For right now I just want it back together, it was hard taking...

Hi, I've been lurking for awhile, figured I would post finally! I'm in the minority here as my 73 Swinger has a 383, but I don't need a lot of engine tech right now. What I did come here for was the chassis/suspension info, lots of good stuff that applies to my car. Anyway, thanks for a good...
