    Your first mopar...?

That’s me in the top pic in 1973. My dad bought the duster just before I was born in 71. The 72’ demon in the second pic was my first car I bought when I was 15. Then almost 50 years later I buy the duster from my dad! It was our family daily driver. It was parked in a garage in 1980 with...

    Anyone dyno tune there sniper?

I’m not expecting any big increases in power. I hope there is but I know that is not going to be the case. I’ve watched every Holley video and honestly I’m not that great at tuning or knowing what an engine wants or needs for a timing curve or fuel curve for that matter. In fact a few of my cars...

    Anyone dyno tune there sniper?

It’s a basically stock 340 4 speed car. Stock cam and heads and exhaust manifolds. Sniper setup with hyperspark distributor. Just a nice fun driver and occasional car show car. I’ve got about three hundred miles of driving while self learning on it now and it really runs pretty good. The engine...

Is there anything specific to ask the tuner for or not to have the in the tune? I appreciate any comments or suggestions. I have a appointment next Tuesday...

HOLLEY SNIPER FUEL INJECTION ~or~ CARBURETOR???

I did not inspect the feeds through the bulkhead. Nor did I hook up the original 12 volt wire to the alternator. So now any time I use the headlights or accessories my ammeter gauge reads in the discharge range. Slightly. Fortunately I have had no EMI interference.

HOLLEY SNIPER FUEL INJECTION ~or~ CARBURETOR???

I ran a single 1 gauge straight to the battery through a circuit breaker.

HOLLEY SNIPER FUEL INJECTION ~or~ CARBURETOR???

I recently installed the sniper setup on my stock 71 duster 340 4 speed. I also installed the returnless Holley fuel pump that fits in the tank and hyperspark distributor and module. Also the progressive link. I took my time soldered every wire connection and routed all the wires carefully to...

Found this in my new sniper throttle body!!

Again I gotta say Holley’s customer service was top notch. I purchased the sniper kit from summit. Holley themselves sent me a complete setup overnight without knowing my credit card number or any of my information except my address. Yes getting through on the phone took a little bit but only...

    Fuel Injection Recommendations

I had the edelbrock pro flow wayyy back when it first was available on a 406 Chevy small block. I liked it. It worked pretty good. And the pro flow 4 was my top choice now for my 340 duster but the distributor clearance issue steered me towards the holley sniper. I just finished installing the...

    Thread Sealant for Coolant Parts?

I’m a steamfitter by trade and have tried many different pipe thread “dopes”. Rectorseal #5 is my favorite. It’s a soft set that will allow easier disassembly if the need ever arises too. And it works excellent. And is cheap.

Found this in my new sniper throttle body!!

I piled the chips on the radiator for the picture. That wasn’t all of them. That was all I could pull out into my hand with a pick. The rest are in my shop vac. I was going to feed the throttle body fuel from the rear inlet too. But just changed my mind over this weekend. I would have never...
