yOU CAN VEIW THIS CAR ON MY PROFILE, There has been a tremendous amount of work done to this car. It needs kickdown linkage for tranny, but is driving starts and runs fine just no kickdown. Has about 700 miles on motor bought from autozone new. again too much stuff to list I will post new pics...
So when properly set is the kickdown all the way towards the back of the car and comes forward as you give it gas, or all the way forward and goes back as you give it gas?
The car is a 73 dart, The cable is actually a little to long but I jimmy rigged it and it works rather well. The real prob is the kick down the bracket I made does not allow room for the kick down bar to function. So I need after market stuff i think. I really dont even know how it works...
So the kick down has never been hooked up on my dart and I have no properway of doing so as of now due to the upgrades on intake and headers. How important is it and what functions (other than dropping to first when you give it all the gas) does it serve?
I have a clifford 4 barrel intake on my dart with two part clifford headers, and a carter two barrel carb. Does any one know where to find the proper linkage I need to hook up throttle cable and kick down? oh yeah it is a slant six.
Okay so Does any one have like a diagram or anyway to explain to me where all the vacume lies should go on a slant six with a clifford 4 barrel intake with a 2 barrel carb on it?
