I have had good luck using WD40 on a microfiber to clean sap and other contaminants off of my paint.

They were on a furniture dolly and a 2x4 wood jig that I made that hugged the blocks oil pan rails.

I installed my big block from the bottom with the headers mounted. Was not that difficult.

Installed my 440/TTI combo from the bottom. Connected the hoist to the bumper bracket mounting holes.

Just hammered away at it since it was already installed. Didn’t want to torch my pan gaskets!

I had the same issue with my Mancini big block A body oil pan. Had to “adjust” the fit a little with a sledge hammer but it now clears the steering and doesn’t leak.
