Stock or not

Anyone seen anything like this? Was mounted under dash in my 65 Cuda. Wired into door switch. Courtesy lights work just fine so can't think of any reason to have this additional lighting. I'm going to get rid of it but wanted to ask first if maybe this was stock. Thanks.

I guess I'll bolt it back up then. Seems it would have had a cover or something. Has a short, need to wiggle the wires sometimes to get it to light. Now I need to figure out why my shifter light doesn't light up.

The under dash map lights are all like that, exposed bulb.

I would determine why you need to wiggle at times. That is a result of a poor connection and poor connections = resistance and resistance = heat and heat can = fire
