    Winter water removal

Drain it and run it empty for a min with the cap off. It will get slightly warm and evaporate the water. I drain mine and run it moving it around a couple of times during the shuffle. Pretty sure all the residual water has evaporated out. Oh, I also drain it when warm.

    Another higher HP SB build

There was a Dart on dragweek in 2019 that ran one with a stick. Jamie Passon was his crew. There was a video of it somewhere. Had to run unlimited because the engine was set back. IIRC.

    Valve Spring Installed Height

It’s worth it to avoid the hydr cam. PRH did my heads and got me 1.80 installed using the longer valve and tool steel retainer. .558 lift.

What is your favorite filament for engine parts?

I have used PETG for underhood parts. Printed a fake fuel pump housing. Printed an air filter spacer. Also a carb horn for a thermoquad.

Hitting tire to hard? Video added

Was looking at buying some serious carbon fiber tube in 3” to make an anti roll bar out of.

Hitting tire to hard? Video added

That looks pretty good! I know two guys that have said putting an anti roll bar on was one of the best things they ever did.

Help ID this camshaft from 360

A degree wheel and a dial indicator will get you in the ballpark when you get the crank back. If you are just interested in the gross valve lift. Two V blocks and a dial indicator will do that on a bench. Put the pointer on the nose of the lobe and zero the indicator. Then turn the cam so the...

Hitting tire to hard? Video added

Is it acting up? The tire rolling over itself? Chattering? What is squishing the tire? Is the axle separating or weight transfer? If it’s the axle, tighten the extension a bit. Weight transfer, up the air pressure. It’s working well enough it’s trial and error time. How even is the tire mark?

What are these plugs saying to you.

The strap mark can be influence by heat range. Too cold and it shows good timing, but it’s just cold. Get an appropriate plug and I’ll bet the mark moves towards the body with no timing change.

    340 t/a heads

A fully ported J head can support 10.11 at 132ish mph with the pinch still there.

Info wanted on Indy LA X heads

I understand your point, FAST does reach out to get the racers opinion on things (as it did on those heads) and I’m sure it is like herding cats. My post stems from a more traditionalist view of FAST style racing. My opinion only. Quite frankly it would be hard for me to say to a small block GM...

Really like the pro tree !

Mystery tree really helps you focus. Doesn’t usually happen during eliminations, but happens enough that I usually don’t go red when expecting a pro and getting a sportsman. Helps that I’m soft on the hit anyways.
