I know I won't be able to adjust it. I just don't want to pull the engine apart again only to find out it's fine, been down that road twice already with the intake gasket and timing chain. The cam is not lopey at idle. If it's not stock I would guess it's a very mild cam.

Is it possible to check the cam timing on an assembled engine? I have low vacuum of 8"-9" at ~15* advanced initial timing with distributor vacuum advance and brake booster both unplugged and capped. I've had it apart twice this year to replace the timing chain and the intake manifold gasket...

Unknown mileage on the engine. Timing cover isn't off so I can't see to the chain. Wondering if there's external things (ignition timing, throttle blades, etc) I should be doing/checking before I start tearing into the engine.

I've been poking around for used welders to give my dad for father's day/birthday and came across a Hobart Handler 135 (the 140 predecessor). He already has a stick welder for structural/thicker material but he wants a 110v MIG for sheet metal, exhaust, and some of the hobby stuff he'd like to...

I'd prefer not to say how much I paid for it that way if I try to sell it on here, a potential buyer can't beat me up on price using that number against me. Shouldn't matter how much I paid, should matter what it's worth.

The 383 is going in my dad's Charger. If I take the 340 out of the Duster, all the suspension, brakes, and K member are going with it.

Anyone have an idea of what the car is worth as-is? And an idea of what it would be worth with drum brakes /6 k-member (with big bock adapters) and no engine?

The parts that I want off the duster are the engine, k-frame, inner fenders, suspension, brakes, wheels, heater (if possible), and maybe the SS springs from the rear. The Demon runs and drives but it's a pain in the *** having a big block in there... I have no power steering and manual drum...

Yeah, I can but I really don't have the time to (just got married, moved to a new city, started a new job, and would really like to get my Demon going). We did the paint and body work on my Demon and that turned out well.

I do have a clear title for it, just got it registered and drove it around this weekend for S&G's. I definitely won't be welding it and fixing it to keep, I doubt if I'd get my money back out of it if I fixed it "right" to sell, so I guess my choice now is to either try to flip it or rob parts...
