    EFI to replace Edelbrock carb

Oh I'm aware, read my earlier post about EFI, which I have on my own car. It is a solution for someone who CAN get it "close enough" and this can get you a lot of driveability improvement.

This is totally different, it actually ADJUSTS the AFR while driving, not just a monitor.

    EFI to replace Edelbrock carb

Yes, that's it. This is maybe the best video on it It's essentially an idle air control valve where it uses a wideband O2 sensor and some algorithms to use it as a feedback control loop to adjust the air fuel ratio on the fly.

    EFI to replace Edelbrock carb

I'd really tell someone most of the time these days to get their carb "close" and get a carb cheater. That can help you deal with the pitfalls of the carb for altitude, temp, some calibration holes, etc. I set up both, on a stock to mild vehicle, really the right size carb works pretty well...

    EFI to replace Edelbrock carb

Anything with PWM will have a fuel pressure sensor that the computer needs to control the fuel pressure. Otherwise, pressure drop from any variable (big change in engine load, fuel filter restriction increase, etc) would result in it leaning out. You'll find that OEM cars that have a PWM/return...

    EFI to replace Edelbrock carb

Well the Corvette filter does 2 things. 1st, it makes the line only a feed to the front of the car (anywhere in front), if you have an aftermarket pump without a check valve or the car sits for a while you have to crank to purge the air. That's a minor problem. 2nd, what it actually is, is a...

    EFI to replace Edelbrock carb

You have to be really in it to win it to have long term good luck with EFI in a retrofit application. 1) Systems like FITech and the Sniper with the computer on the intake, electronics don't like much over 220F / 105 C for any periods, when it's over that the life drops pretty quickly. There...

OER 70-72 Duster Standard Grille -> Any experience and painting to match 1970?

New grille came in. Now to think about painting it. I saw that there is the OER K89182 "Textured" Paint, is this what you guys used? The surface on this is of course smooth being it's new. I did get the krylon dull aluminum but it doesn't have texture. Just want it to look as right as it can...

    RPM drop and electric fans!

I have a 227/231 duration at 0.050, .530 lift on a 9.8:1 340 and my car runs 22 up front because that's what it likes best. Starts just fine. I would still want a timing curve. It probably won't like idling at 34-40 deg.

    offset MC adapter and MC

I don't have one, but it moves the pedal attachment to the other side of the pedal. Since it's an eylet type its only on one side. This is the stock location: So it would end up on the left side instead of the right. Not sure what Master Cylinder you have now, but you would want one with a...

    RPM drop and electric fans!

20' a 6 ga wire is good for about 30A total: https://www.qualitypowerauto.com/Wire%20Sizing%20Chart%2012V%20DC.htm?srsltid=AfmBOoq3KsVZjHhnEjMd32DJ1YUpnsctiyAoQuD7C6dWCfxEeGUiulrK Cut that to 6' and it's good for about 120A. This would be especially critical IF the alternator has to push the...

    leaking brake lines

You see unions, sometimes in multiple spots in the same line, in brand new cars. Having the unions isn't bad so long as they seal. It's absolutely paramount that the flared part was aligned to the cone. After that you just tighten the crap out of them. Usually the flare would have to be really...

    Air Gap hood clearance

The basic edelbrock drop base air cleaner will work with the flat stock hood no problem. Have done this exact thing in my Duster (still use the air cleaner with the super victor EFI) and a 71 Demon with a 318 magnum and an Air Gap

    RPM drop and electric fans!

I moved to ECU control and a high/low switch for my Contour fans this year. So basically the computer only knows "fan on" or "fan off" but the speed is selected afterwards. They now can cycle from a stop on high if that's what I wish, have done it during Power Tour and the Dream Cruise and you...
