    1969 383 GTS Power Steering

Thanks for the info HemiSSDart. My (69 383 4-Speed) GTS had power steering when I got it in 1990. What I am having trouble with is the correct pump and brackets. The one that is on it now has the belt passing under the water pump pulley and it touches ever so slightly making rub marks on...

    Hemi hood scoop reinforcement bars

Never ran mine without the hood. The air pressure is tremendous though. My lexan windshield flexes in to the point that I need to brace it. At the end of the season I found a spot I couldn't clean off...... turns out it was on the inside where the windshield was flexing in and rubbing my...

    Hemi hood scoop reinforcement bars

When I run 1/4 mile I am up at 138 with mine. The rear of the hood lifts 1.5-2". I may end up having to vent mine as well. At one time I thought about adding an air pan to the carbs and sealing them to the scoop, but with no where else for the air to go, I was afraid that it would pull it off...

    Hemi hood scoop reinforcement bars

I am running two on mine, but may add more. They are made from fuel line tubing and long hardware store screws. It is fine at 1/8 mile tracks, but 1/4 mile it is distorting, and lifting up in the rear. I still run hood hinges on mine and found that it lifts as much as an 1.5-2" at the top end...

    Drawing for a bellhousing bracket

I had a nasty homemade one on my 383 GTS when I bought it. Decided to just pick one up from Brewers and it was perfect! Looks like they went up a bit in price since then though..... http://www.brewersperformance.com/proddetail.asp?prod=BSB271K -Dave

    2 step time !

For me, having it on the shifter worked out better so far. I do my burnout in 3rd gear and it sometimes hits my 5,400 chip as I get it. At the end of the burnout, I release the line lock and, and first step then mat it for the last part of the burnout. On the line at the hit I slide my...

    2 step time !

FWIW, I run my two step and line lock off of the button on my shifter. I launch at 5400. -Dave

    Turbo 383 in a A-body Barracuda

Nice work. Didn't know AMD was making that rear panel. I have been working to patch mine on my NSS Cuda. Now I may order in the new panel instead. Just out of curiosity did you ever race that car in near stock form over in Baytown for one of the Mopar shows a few years back? I have an H...

    Post Abody Stock SuperStock Pics

Could someone please post a picture of an original SS Hemi Cuda showing the hood pin locations. I have seen plenty of the Dart pin setups, but can't seem to find a pic of the Cuda. All of the modern SS/AH cars seem to be running fasteners instead of hood pins. I am trying to figure out where...
