Here it is with some SBP 14" Rallyes in place of the 13s & what used to be tires. Should make a great, economical daily driver with a bit of TLC and some floor patches. Thanks again.
62 Valiant 170ci & pushbutton auto rescued intact from a wrecking yard and certain crusher death by days, 67 Valiant with hot early '70s-built 273 4bbl swapped in over the past few years, dual exhaust. Was off the road since '91. I love bringing these things back to life.
Hi all, it's been a while. The intact '62 Valiant I pulled out of a wrecking yard last year actually woke up easily and runs and drives. No brakes & nds gas tank, but we'll get to that.
I have a parts '69 6 cylinder Dart for my other As, all later... wondering what (besides underhood & wheels)...
Gimme a call tomorrow or Sat. 512.392.4400... I'm interested. This one's nice and small so I can fit it inside the storage part of the console. But even if not for this trip I have a stepvan I built into a camper and need a decent CB for it to replace this one. I have some interesting parts but...
Wow wow wow... GREAT info. Can't thank you enough.
33s were (at least in the era of my late stepdad "The Green Bean" and on the East coast) "good things to you" or the equivalent, despite what the official meaning was. "...and 33s to you, too."
Specifically, I have a small Radio Shack unit...
Breaker 1-9, just wired in a CB for an upcoming road trip. Has a buzzy interference that rises with engine speed. I'm running a Jeg's Mopar electronic ignition, car's a '79. Want to be able to hear about the fuzz and give 33s. How to I kill the buzz? Much oblige, on the side.
Nothing huge, I have a NOS Direct Connection cam pkg, off the top of my head the part number ends in "69". I looked it up and it was "General High Performance", said to use the 340 valve spring. I know it's a bit more than a torque cam but it should wake it up pretty good all around.
If I can...
I bought a 225, .030 over, .100 off the head, "engine builder" valves, and stock cam. If I install a bigger cam, will I have interference problems? If I'm basically building for torque, will I even need a bigger cam? Thanks in advance...
EVH not really; ash Strat, sure. It's on the curve... the 60s ones are out of sight, and they drag the 70s up too. Happy to take a look at it when I'm there!
Excellent. Thank you again! Here's the Dart Sport. It's getting a warmed over balanced .060 over 318 with a tunnel ram & 2 4s, and a 3-speed manual floor shift. The engine will gleam; for now I'm leaving the rest ratty, the patina is just amazing inside & out.
