Yeah, I only go once or twice a year, car is basically stock and currently only running high 14s, so I think I'll try option #2 and hope for a different tech guy.

He tried to tell me 69 came with it , I told him it never had one. He did let me run, but in the future said I needed one. He said they have had 4 incidents in the last year of cars being started in gear and causing accidents in the staging lanes.

Took my 69 Dart with a 4 spd to the track last night for the first time in a couple years. When I went through tech they are now requiring a clutch safety switch so the car can't be started in gear. Is there a simple way to do this on a car that didn't come with one?

I have a 71 Duster that I need a dashpad for, another member has a nice pad out of a 67 Dart for sale, would this interchange and would it look out of place?

Do you know if roof rail trim,1st photo,is the same as 71 Duster?

I am putting this duster together as a street car that I can take to the drag strip a couple times a year, will be a mild 5.9 magnum. Don't do much freeway driving, mostly around town driving, so some mid range gears should give me some performance along with drivability.

Found an abody 8.25 rear I am interested in buying to upgrade the 7.25 in my 71 Duster. Seller says it's a sure grip and has a 2.71 tag on it. If I buy it I would eventually want to put 3.55 gears in it. I have seen that there are 2 different rears , but only one will accept the higher...

If it makes more sense to use the harness from the 98 truck and thin it down the same way I did the 95 harness, I will do that. Just didn't know if that was my best route. To reflash the pcm do you send it out or get a hand held tuner and purchase a tune for your specs ? Never done it.

So I successfully put a obd1 5.9 magnum into my 69 Dart 4spd and have been driving it all spring and summer and love it, but now I want more. I originally went OBD1 because that was the donor I had,wasn't confident I could even make it run and read it was easier. I bought a complete 98 ram 1500...
