Have a 69 Dart, currently stock 5.9 with fuel injection, 833 4spd , 8.75 3.23 sg.. Best time so far is 14.3,would like to get into the 13's and think I can with some lower gears.Eventually going to do a cam, tune and a few other engine upgrades. Only go to the track a couple times a year...

Yeah, I only go once or twice a year, car is basically stock and currently only running high 14s, so I think I'll try option #2 and hope for a different tech guy.

He tried to tell me 69 came with it , I told him it never had one. He did let me run, but in the future said I needed one. He said they have had 4 incidents in the last year of cars being started in gear and causing accidents in the staging lanes.

Took my 69 Dart with a 4 spd to the track last night for the first time in a couple years. When I went through tech they are now requiring a clutch safety switch so the car can't be started in gear. Is there a simple way to do this on a car that didn't come with one?

I have a 71 Duster that I need a dashpad for, another member has a nice pad out of a 67 Dart for sale, would this interchange and would it look out of place?

Do you know if roof rail trim,1st photo,is the same as 71 Duster?

I am putting this duster together as a street car that I can take to the drag strip a couple times a year, will be a mild 5.9 magnum. Don't do much freeway driving, mostly around town driving, so some mid range gears should give me some performance along with drivability.

Thanks for the responses, just wanted to make sure I wasn't setting myself up for problems.
