    Best Sure Grip for Autocross

I was leaning towards a helical, but did some research and on some autocross forums people were complaining that their helical diff was letting the inside tire spin. That was Miatas but I couldn't find anyone that had posted this question for solid axle cars. Hoping that someone here will chime...

    Best Sure Grip for Autocross

I'm looking to build an 8 3/4 to replace my tired 8 1/4 for my Valiant. The car is mostly a street car, but I'm doing upgrades with my local autocross chapter in mind, it's my best access to cheap racing so that's what I'm building the car for. I'm looking at the differences between power lok...

67 Valiant to Part out or Sell?

In 2023 I picked up a 67 Valiant 2 door, /6, 3 speed for $400. It was a good deal at the time and has a clean title. It's quite rusty by West Coast standards but I believe it to be structurally sound. I got it fired up, tossed brakes at it and did an oil change, all in 2023, but since then I've...

    68 Valiant Window Install

I'm pretty sure this is correct. Looks like it'll try to ship this month if I put in an order. I think I read somewhere about the wiper gaskets or something like that needing to be replaced if the windshield is out, but I don't really see how that would be helpful. I figured it's best to not...

    68 Valiant Window Install

I'm prepping to do a refresh on the exterior of my Valiant this winter/spring and realized that my old, very faded windshield is going to look awful with updated paint. It looks like windows are pretty easy to find and quite affordable, I'm wondering if there's any "while I'm there" projects to...

    Redwood Rally 2024

Finally getting myself squared away after my first drag and drive and realized I don't really have any way to contact the people I met out there this year. So this is a call to all the A body folks who were on Redwood Rally this year, maybe it's best to post what car you were driving, and your...

    modern muscle

I've got an 06 Magnum RT that I bought in 2020, with 120k on the clock. At 178k now and nothing major to report in terms of maintenance and such. We moved my brother back from college in it, jammed 3 guys, his whole dorm worth of stuff in it and bombed across Montana at 90+ with absolutely no...

    Leaking Holley 1920

Update: double stacked gasket was a no go. Still leaked. I'm ready to just drop in a 2bbl that I have laying around. Just need to modify the intake and throttle stuff to work with it

    Leaking Holley 1920

Ahh so it's gasoline *resistant* There's a reason the car hasn't been driven more than to repark it since this debacle started. With it's new mini starter and a rebuilt carb, it starts great though!

    Leaking Holley 1920

I've used the aviation permatex to assist a fuel filler neck gasket before. It's held up for a while. We had some left over so we lightly tacked a gasket with it but it still wanted to leak. Gasoline is a pretty good solvent, so it wouldn't surprise me too much if Dan is right.

    Leaking Holley 1920

It's been a while since I actually looked at the car but if I remember right, it was leaking near the bottom, maybe more biased toward the left side of the carb. I'll see if we can get extra gaskets on there to really take up the space.

    Leaking Holley 1920

A while back I rebuilt the 1920 carb on my brother's 65 Dart. I had just done a refresh on my 67 Valiant's 1920 that had been sitting for decades so I was at least cautiously confident that I could improve a pretty poor starting and stumbling 1bbl. It seems like all the detail work went well...

    Fresh 904 start-up

Working about an hour or so on the weeknights that I'm free. The past week has been surprisingly busy for me, and the trans isn't the only project on the car that needs to get finished. Not to sound super defensive, I really made this post right before life happened and I had no free time to...

    Fresh 904 start-up

Was based on my experience when I had to limp the car home with a fluid leak (I'm smart enough to not do this again), it felt like my converter was getting looser and looser as I went. To verify pump functionality could I pull a cooler line to see if there's pressure out? I hate this "maybe it's...
