Wanna buy a 318?

Anybody out here on the ol forum know what it'll take to run some mild boost action?? 318 la mopar, 1983, completely stock except an intake and fitech efi combo(I know current setup is absolutely garbage for hp) but, would would yall do to make this thing hit 600whp?? Thinking heads,cam,new...

I also wanna do a turbo setup later...like later later, so is the efi route a good way to go I found a kit for 900bucks that has timing,fuel ratios, and tells me just general specs of the engine that would help with boost, if I saved for that would that be better than running a carb since it's...

So I got a few problems it seems with the carb, wanted to know what you guys think before I buy a new one.

So for starters..my "truck" is an 02 mustang, and second I'll be dammed before I let the "he's just trying to get views up" slide. I have a 02 mustang with a 318 mopar and 727, deal with it and actually help or keep the little remarks to yourself..please. I worked hard to get it where it's at...

Thing is it never left the block, drove it twice to see if my driveshaft was good..or was until I realized any rpm got me 20mph, it isn't heat or fluid related
