    RPM drop and electric fans!

A few things need to be addressed: 1) You need a higher output alternator. Most alternators are tested at room temp. A typical unit loses 20% efficiency at operating/underhood temps. 70A nominal output isn't nearly enough. With two electric fans, MSD ignitiin, headlights, fuel pump etc. I...

My engine sure seems to want more jetting

What plug is in it currently? -6 or -7 ngk ?

My engine sure seems to want more jetting

The spark plugs need to be replaced before any additional tuning takes place. That or clean them off with a 150 shot of n20

What are these plugs saying to you.

I'd give it a few degrees of timing and run some 6's or 7's. If you switch fuels from 110 to pump 7's and leave the timing. Aside from that it looks rich. The plug in the pic is a -8 ngk on 112 leaded and a .073 n20 jet at 32 deg advance, for reference.

    340 or 383 for 1968 Dart

The bb a body can be a challenge to maintain for sure.. I currently have the centerlink dropped and driver side header unbolted to r'n'r the starter. My next project is swapping in a CVR electric water pump which will require removal of the radiator :/ Nothing a hot cup of coffee and some...

    340 or 383 for 1968 Dart

Compression ratio and camshaft grind have a lot to do with it. 600+ hp is doable with enough cubes

    340 or 383 for 1968 Dart

You can make plenty of power with stock bb a body manifolds. That said, I have to remove the #6 spark plug from under the car. It's no worse that a 70 C body with hp manifolds IMO.

    6 Pack Nitrous

If you consider that a n20 bottle is $350, solenoids start at $150, a standard nos spraybar plate is $325 and it comes with the line, relay amd microswitch it's not bad price wise. For some reason folks are under the impression that nitrous kits are inexpensive. Like any power adder, they are not.

    6 Pack Nitrous

I'd take the center carb perimeter plate over the spray bar plates.

When good is not enough, Camshaft time again.

I would look into a hydraulic roller setup utilizing comp Evo lifters. I'm not 100% sure what folks are getting away with concerning valve spring pressure. I owned a stock stroke 440 with a hydraulic roller cam (unknown specs) and was impressed with it's manners and power output. This would be...

How much power can the stock rods in a 383 B handle with a blower?

RUN GOOD FUEL I put this in caps for a reason. You can get away with a much larger margin of error while tuning with 110-116 leaded. I have experimented quite a bit in the timing department on n20. My current combination likes timing and octane. I can also get away with more a little more...

How much power can the stock rods in a 383 B handle with a blower?

I made 570+ hp at the wheels with my stock appearing 451" using a stock, appropriately prepared 1970 440 crank and LY rods with 1.320" CH Ross pistons We put at least 50 bottles of n20 through that engine no prep racing and street driving. It split a cylinder idling front of my shop. The LY...
