Machinist will not build engine unless roller cam is used!

With the hydraulic ft issues I am of the same opinion on tappet choice for a performance engine. If I had to go hydraulic ft it would come from Jones or Oregon Camshaft. For the last build we used bushed comp sportsman roller lifters with good results. I was interested in trying out the comp...

One from the past. Brown Sugar

Wayne Smother of Smothers Supercars in OK owns the car and would know more of the history. The guy that built brown sugar was the creator of Shawanda.

Anyone here own an ‘08-10 Mopar car and willing to help me with some config files?

My wife stil has her 2010 300c srt8 in the shed. I should be able to use a snap on obd2 scanner to get a file if you still need one.

    Long drive for nothing

It's getting near impossible to find old surplus engine machining equipment that hasn't been rode hard. Good luck with the hunt!

    Installing linkage clips

They won't clip on if the linkage isn't in alignment i.e. z bar. They should almost go on by hand. I use a needle nose pliers.

Anybody running these kind of Air Filters on a tunnelram

Screen can be a huge restriction. The area covered is more than you would think. I like to use a washable filter element. You want 1000cfm/carb to accomodate for maintenance intervals. What is center to center measurement of the carbs? 9.5ish?

    23 or 18 spline?

I would do an 18 spline unit for several reasons. The gears are of a coarser pitch and 2-3-4 speed gears are bushed. The input shaft diameter is larger by 3/16 also. I have better luck overbuilding things that get abused. It appears that you have sufficient tire plant to warrant the 18 spline...

    73 Duster build named Fred

I ran two NTK sensors for three years and burned hundreds of gallons of 110 and 116 leaded fuel. They still work perfect. I also have one summer on my NOS wideband and the instructions state it is compatible with leaded fuels. I have seen a few die on the dyno for but I didnt have any...

Street Outlaw star dies in wreck.

This should be a good nudge to anyone without some form of fire supression in their hotrod. My caged cars have fire systems, which are not prohibitively expensive. I do not know the exact chain of events but my understanding is that it took 45 minutes to extract him from the car. My helper...

Street Outlaw star dies in wreck.

RIP to the Z Unit. Nate was a good dude. I didn't realize he was so well known until this happened as I don't follow SO. I saw the Z Unit leave on the bumper up close and personal a few times and it was an intense experience. This was the guy that was always more engrossed in helping fellow...

Does a HD rear spring/shackle hanger exist for a 68 Dart?

I happen to have a 64 Galaxie 500 here in the yard. The 63-64 Fords are neat cars.

I looked closely at the box and these are the Mancini versions. A little welding and they are good to go.
