My machine shop won't do just one cylinder, there would be some that will, but not within my traveling distance.

Black & Milds, plastic tip, are the strongest substance abuse product here ..if you don't count my "engine building skills" to engines.

Only things we smoke here, is Black & Mild plastic tips. Ha

PS, the Chevy long block was "remanufactured" out of Mexico...also I noted the the front cam bearing was missaligned, oil had a hard time getting to the front main...slight gawl on that bearing but it didn't mess up the crank bearing surface....cam bearing is still good , but will need a drill...

Thinking bout it,that 1 cylinder...but the heads /bolts came out off pretty easy..it might be a waste of timeand money...I don't think anyone, who is honest will say they ever saw a hairline crack in a cylinder...maybe if they were actual machinist, a rare occurrence might turn up, but not most...

You should have known most machine shops won't bore/hone just one cyl. They are in the business to make/ take your money. They want to door the whole block over again. All 8
