I'm going to bolt on my chinese airgap to my chinese aluminum heads on my 360 and I wondered if there was a concensus as to a good torque value? Thanks in advance.
Yeah, but is it worth the aggravation of sourcing a scarce, smaller clutch? And, you'd have to resurface the flywheel anyways. I don't know, but in my own situation, I just said "FI" and went with the 10.5"- and never had a bit more trouble. Cheers!
Once upon a time I had a '67 Valiant with a '68 340 on a '67 factory 4 speed. One night taking my girlfriend home about 2am, I realized how late it was and while travelling along at 60 in 4th, I stepped on the gas, heard and felt a "bang" and later discovered she'd spun the hub out of the oem...

I hope you're not bothered by my questions, but I don't want to buy any misery; I've got enough for now. Where abouts in SW Michigan are you? I live in Ontario, Canada
My Challenger- I know, I know- developed a "crunch" at the end of the season and I'm going to see why. It's a cone style SG and I'm leaning towards a clutch type or A/M unit. I'm shopping for the best bang for my buck for rebuild parts, gears (I'm going to build a second carrier that I can just...
I didn't realize there was a Canadian component to the site! My 74 Challenger- I know it's not an A body- developed a "crunch" type noise at the end of the season and I'm going to pull the carrier and have a look. It's a cone type. I'm also thinking of building a spare carrier to make the re/re...
