The old plug is posted above, although the image doesn't show the crushed gasket.

    Finding the correct spark plugs.

One of the plugs I pulled a few months back. It has a crush gasket. I cross-referenced it and found a couple dozen options.

    Finding the correct spark plugs.

Hi all, I'm a first-time poster and I have a "Head Scratcher". I'm a relative novice, not a true gearhead. I'm building a 1969 318 to swap into my 1974 Plymouth Valiant slant 6. I ordered spark plugs - RN14YC, but the diameter of the threads (14mm) is too small. The plug falls right into the...

SBE 318 basic rebuild +CAM , INTAKE, HEADS, expectations?

I'm currently building a mild 318 to replace a Slant 6 in my 1974 Plymouth Valiant, 4-door, which I got really cheap. After I picked up the 318, a friend mentioned the 360 as a better alternative, dollar VS output. As I have a 7 1/4 rear end, I don't want to blow up the rearend. BUT, the costs...

    Long drive for nothing

I feel your pain. I drove 325 miles to look at a 64' Dart, that looked pretty good in the photos. Within 5 seconds of seeing it, I realized ALL the photos were from angles that didn't show how badly it was rusted. Not only that, but there was also damage done to the rear-end after the photos...

73 duster front brakes locking up when coming to a stop.

You could be developing a blockage in your brake lines. I had an Astro van that did that. I'd have to wait 5 or 10 seconds for the brakes to release. I replaced the rubber lines by the front discs and the problem was gone. The rubber likely deteriorated, and debris clogged the line, kinda like...

    Coverting from a slant 6 to a 360.

I appreciate any info. I have access to a 360 truck engine with an automatic crank, so I know i'll need a bushing for the trans output shaft and probably a bell housing for a manual shifter. I'm pretty green when it comes to this.

    Coverting from a slant 6 to a 360.

I recently acquired a 74 Plymouth Valiant with a slant 6, 3 speed on the floor and would like to upgrade to a 360. I have no clue as to what is required to swap these 2. Bell housings, clutches engine mounts and K-members, etc.
