    Earworm of the Day.

My favorite is the burnout on repeat after a day at the track.

Dash Radio Cut-Out Fix Ideas needed!

The hard part is finding a standard dash!! I had to HUNT to find a replacement standard dash. You can add those parts easily enough. The parts that changed the most are the heater controls. '72 had pushbuttons, for example. You can get the deluxe panel cheaply and just drill all the mounting...

    Update and a strange situation..

What's the clearance to the fenders with that setup?

I made a small block low mount alternator bracket

Same could be said for the stock mounts. I appreciate the explanation about moving it away from the heat. I was more engaged in how the mounts were made, and not as much as I should've been in reading the text. I do like the idea of a lower coG.

RANT-It never fails/par for the course

At least they didn't pull the Mopar Action and renew you and then dry up and blow away

Cheapest way to tow my car- Truck Rental?

300 miles? Call AAA, get the Premier plan. It's usually less than $100/year. It includes five tows, one of which is up to 200 miles. Tow it to a shop 200 miles away, then drive it five miles. Call em and tell em it quit again and use one of the 100 mile tows for the rest.

    Cats on TTI exhaust system

I've considered running catalytic converters on my Magnum Dart. I like quiet and there's nothing wrong with clean if it doesn't hurt performance

    Mechanic shop repair story

If he'd said he was trying to replicate it under load, that's one thing. If my truck was that clean and the guy scratched my bed up, it's gonna cost him a lot more than a rental would have

    Cleaning Automotive Glass

The last couple windshields I did, they were hazed and I'd clean 'em and they would haze again. I think it's something evaporating from the Chinesium gaskets, which I can smell breaking down, whereas the old gaskets didn't smell hardly at all. It seems to collect visibly in the corners but...

    Cleaning gasket surfaces

I tried that. This stuff was...different. I tried scraping it with the blade held vertical and it did remove some stuff but it folded the blade over immediately. I tried scraping it with the blade down low and it just slid over the stuff. Ma really wanted that Neon head sealed lol It's a...

    Cleaning gasket surfaces

Now you tell me. Since I haven't turned the motor over, I was going to flush the cooling system with running water while I have the water pump off and dump a gallon of diesel down the head oil drains with the drain plug out. I can't see how much of that could make it to the mains with the oil...

    Cleaning gasket surfaces

I have one and can vouch, they work great! The issue was if I pushed hard enough to get everything off, the carbide was sharp enough to scratch the block, and I didn't need that headache I will look into this! Thank you! Never even crossed my admittedly weak mind. Thank you!

    espo, bad news for some.

Thank you for taking the time to clarify. I reached out for a quote and SOMEONE took time to reply after hours on a Friday night. Once I figure out what I need, if you have it, you have my sale.

    Cleaning gasket surfaces

I recently acquired a Neon that has broken a timing belt. I had the head surfaced, and was cleaning the remnants of the coating from the old MLS head gasket off the block. This stuff was like baked on carbon. I finally resorted to a Scotch Brite pad to get everything clean. I'm concerned about...
