LOL....I would stack my stock 340 T/A against any Chevy/Olds small block ever built .... blue printed or not.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm just wanting to complete the set that I have. I thought that I would at least check to see if anyone had one or two laying around from a previous build.
Does anyone have one or two 30 over L-2316 pistons laying around? Used or new does not matter. Two pistons in a used set that I have are damaged. One being completely unusable.
One more thing. Make sure you are getting voltage to the coil while cranking. If it is not, you will only get fire when releasing the key from the "Start" to the "Run" position. (I ran into this after a rebuild.) If you think that this is a possibility; run a TEMPORARY wire from the hot side...
A relay using the original plug to switch direct power from the battery is the simple and effective approach to get "brighter headlights on these older cars". ..... No need to reinvent the wheel. I have used a ford starter relay to power up Landing Lights ...You don't get brighter than that BTW.
